Your passport is not enough.
Since April 2025, you need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter the United Kingdom. You can apply for the ETA online or via the ETA app; it is then valid for two years.
Processing your application can usually take up to three business days. Please apply for your ETA well in advance. We'll tell you how later.

What you should know.
What do I absolutely need for entry?
For entry into Great Britain, as an EU citizen or Swiss national, you need a valid passport since Brexit – an ID card is no longer sufficient.
Additionally, you must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) in advance, similar to the USA. This is very straightforward via app or online and currently costs £16.
The ETA is valid for multiple trips within two years and should be applied for several days before departure.
I'm arriving after 9:00 PM. Is that possible?
Yes, that is possible! Yes, that is possible! Please note, however, a £15 fee applies for late check-in, as our reception is not regularly staffed late in the evening.
If you arrive after 9 PM, please ensure you pre-book your late check-in with your room. If your arrival is scheduled for after midnight, you must specifically book the dedicated midnight check-in.
When do I need to check out on the morning of departure?
Enjoy your breakfast in peace in the morning before you pack and check out. We kindly ask you to check out by 9:15 AM. If you require a little more time, please speak to us the evening before, and we will gladly try to accommodate your request.
